Absolutely loving the Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) series, David! The long-format videos are fantastic—so engaging and captivating. I'd totally follow in your footsteps by skipping the chain cafes and hunting down those hidden gems tucked away from the main hubs. Your content has been the perfect companion during my work breaks and coffee runs. Vietnam is 100% on my bucket list for future adventures! Keep up the amazing work, David & Kim! Your channel is growing stronger and more inspiring every single day. Always looking forward to your next upload—it’s pure gold!
I'm so glad to have stumbled across your videos. Both Saigon and Da Nang are quickly moving up on my travel list. I'm also appreciating the longer video formats!
Thao Dien is a great place when you visit it from 5pm or 6pm onwards, it is such a cool vibe there
I really enjoyed your Saigon series! I was there recently for only a few days and wish I had more time to explore the city. Keep up the great work with the vlogs!
I remember I would go on a stroll on my motorbike around Thao Dien after 9 pm to see the chilled nightlife there. That area is much better enjoyed at night.
Tui là tui thích coi vlog của anh lắm đó anh bạn àaa, mong chờ mỗi ngày thôi ❤
Hi David - I have really enjoyed your Saigon series. We are travelling to Vietnam in 2 weeks to Hue, Danang, Phu Quoc and Ho Chi Minh. We always stay in District 3 cause it's only a short walk from District 1 but quieter. Can't wait until we arrive in Vietnam.
Wow... your vid is so informative. I was born and grow up here but I don't go out much these days because of the crazy traffic. Your video gives me lot of update about what is going in the D1, where I used to hang out years ago. Thank you.
Thank you for taking me along. Loved the video.
Saigon is like NYC to me. It's dirty, smelly, crowded and people can be rude at time, but i love it. it has the energy, the vibe. It has good foods and lots of good things and bad about things to see and possibly do !!
Loving this Saigon series. And the longer format videos are great. In the UK we use the same level names as Saigon. Ground floor then when you go up steps it's the first floor. Guess it's different in the US?
I see the move in your future! your Saigon adventures have been great
The place at 37:30 is the villa complex where consular staff and their family from many countries like USA, Canada,...as well as some Vietnamese richest people live. Highest security is set up there, so only residents and staff can enter the area.
Hey, used to live in the compound you visited at 37:30 and a 4 bedroom 2 floor house had a monthly rent of $7000. Inside the compound is super nice, its really quiet once you're inside and theres 2 community pools, 4 community tennis courts, a skatepark and a basketball court with a restaurant also located inside the compound too. There's also an apartment complex inside and its nice there as well I stayed there short term before moving to a different country. Fun fact lol but during the covid pandemic in vietnam the supermarket next to the compound (you can see it at 37:30 its the place with a bunch of ads taped to the walls) was closed down and only the people who lived inside the compound could go inside and buy stuff from inside. If you're curious about anything else you can just comment your question and I'll reply as best as I can haha, but yeah watching this video really made me miss vietnam and how it was in thao dien, especially the night life and the small clubs they have there (not sure if they're still there though lol). Hope you come back to Saigon again and if you do you definitely have to come to thao dien after 5/6pm and check out the steakhouses or restaurants in the area as they're really nice (also check out thao dien walking street lol).
Big fan. Saigon looks so fun through your lenses. Definitely would like to visit some day. Observation on the Grab bike rides... seems a bit unsanitary to be using the shared helmets especially on those hot summer days. It may be a good idea to bring your own head covering like a hairnet before putting on the helmet. You can be the trendsetter 😉
Another great vlog my favorite part as a Floridian is minute 25:11, " what's that mean in Celsius?...it means it's Hot......it's Hot!!" I felt that. But the positive is you burned offed(melted) as much as you consumed, by walking with the weighted backpack, so win win.
never seen so many coffee shop in 41 minutes. thanks
You probably know this by now but anywhere outside of the US, the FIRST floor is not what you would call the lobby but one floor up FROM the lobby.
Great video! 정말 잘하셨어요!
