@Heavi

Do you love or hate Ivan Moody?

@mattchewynichols5217

After seeing the recent video of Ivan stopping concert while a girl was having a seizure, Ivan said put her on side, they weren't so Ivan just down n helped the girl till medics got there ...Ivan now sober has a heart of gold!!! World needs more like him.

@aerydar

i saw FFDP live not even a week ago and Ivan was one of the nicest guys i've seen. he read a letter from a young fan and gave a signed American flag to her retired military father. he also congratulated everyone who's in recovery and is still going strong.
even let those of us on the stage floor all go into the mosh pit if it was our first concert.
not even band/lead singer does that.

hate him or love him, Ivan Moody is more genuine than most out there

@karlhinkelstein6130

I can remember a story. In 2009 Ivan was with FFDP here in Berlin Germany. They were still quite unknown as a band, so they only played at the small Columbia Club. But they absolutely accelerated from the first second. Sweat ran from the ceiling. After the concert, Ivan came to the audience and gave my wife a big hug and lovingly thanked us for coming to the FFDP concert. Then he diligently signed autographs for the fans. He was just incredibly personable!

@QuillBleu82

My partner and I literally JUST saw them live. Ivan is sober and you could feel the camaraderie amongst the band members. It was the best show of my life. Ivan has been a shitty person in the past, I’m not going to kiss his ass, but I know what addiction’s like and I know how the person you are under the influence of an addictive substance is NOT who you really are. My addiction turned me into a liar and a thief, I was visibly intoxicated around my partner’s friends and their children, making an utter jackass of myself and humiliating my partner. I had to take responsibility for my addiction and rise above it. I’m proud of Ivan and glad so many of the core 5FDP members have stood beside him through his struggles. My partner and I are diehard fans and always will be.

@chrishayes9507

Love how you missed out that he’s now been sober for years and becoming a better person

@joshwhite1833

ill give you that when ivan was drinking, he did more then step on some toes. but since getting sober, the guy has turned it around. the fact that this was posted 3 days ago, digging up old drama? tells me everything i need to know about your channel. hell i use to talk to tommy vext, i literally asked him about the situation with ivan, i saw the headlines and shit saying they fought and "tommy vext was replacing ivan moody". he told me there was no bad blood, after the show ivan apologized and then he got help. stop trashing artists who got help with their demons, by digging up old shit.

@alexandrevaz-filion783

Legitimate question. Can you continue to judge a band due to past performances that were fuelled by alcohol abuse? Surely you should judge the band and Ivan on when he realised he was just destroying himself and committed to staying sober and managing his anger issues. Unless he continues to act like this and the recent concerts are just as bad, the past should remain in the past.

@Kikester

I don’t like the fact how big bands like Megadeth are even opening for them

@12Prophet

The lyrics say everything. Jekyll & Hyde, for example. It is funny how a lot of song lyrics are actually telling the truth. Artists of every genre leaves clues for the right eyes. Chester Bennington is a prime example.
To say Ivan Moody is a bit moody and be shocked by that after he lays out all of his grievances in the songs... Well it's like being surprised by Chester's passing after all the grievances laid out in LP's songs. One of the most famous lyric from a song "Put me out of my misery" and everyone fawning over how long he held the note and with such passion... Like, is anyone actually paying attention?

@AndScrambledEggs

When I saw 5fdp live, I actually had never heard of them before. I wasn't prepared for such a great live show - it was uplifting, and the singer was amazing at pumping up the crowd.

@nylonnerves8422

I actually understand the last ”feud”. If he doesn’t agree with a video that twists his words or makes the band take a certain stand it’s ok for him to voice his opinnion about that.

@corylong3082

I personally think he has his demons and I see him day in and day out trying to battle those demons. In the last few years, he has done everything and more to deal with those demons head on. He is human like the rest of us, he has made mistakes and at least he is pushing forward. The personal growth he has made is an inspiration to many. From drowning in the bottom of a bottle to living the dream.

@garrybrannock18

I think Ivan struggles with a lot of the issues most of us struggle with, the problem is, being a celebrity and the frontman for a metal band, he gets more critically judged for it.

I went through the same kinda hate when I was the frontman for the band I was in. A lot of deep personal issues I tried to cover up with alcohol and aggression than ultimately lead to breakdowns and controversy.

And I don’t blame him if the stuff about the music video is true. If he wrote the lyrics and had a very specific message with those lyrics and a band mate who more than likely knew that, ignored it and twisted the message intentionally, he has every right to be upset about it. Lyrics often have a deeper meaning and a specific story to tell. It’s purely disrespectful to ignore that message.

@threehammers2516

I just seen ffdp for the first time a few days ago. The show was freaking awesome. Moody did flip out for a second when his mic stopped working. He raged and threw the mic onto the ground. He quickly came back and apologized and the show went on. I wouldn’t hesitate to see them in concert again!

@freddy_the_fish

I saw 5FDP for the first time yesterday and Ivan seemed nothing but kind, throwing all sorts of things to the crowd, talking to specific audience members and inviting his son on stage. He won me over!

@Hogslayer308

They started off pretty good but ended becoming the metal equivalent of a tribal arm band tattoo.

@sunfire311

I met Ivan and the band a few years or so ago backstage at their concert. Ivan seemed like a pretty cool guy. Didn't talk to him too much though. We hung out with Chris the bass player, since someone with us knew him. He is a really cool guy.

@drumaticpageofmusic4148

I met Ivan twice. He was super cool and the first time, he wasn’t in the mood to take a photo, and he said no in the most respectful way possible, and I understood. Tours can be stressful. The second time, I was on his tour bus and met him. He walked in and the first thing he did was shake my hand and say “Dude, I dig your wig.” (I have an afro style hairdo, so great joke 🤣) and he talked with my mom and I for like 10 minutes and took a photo with me. I think he’s a great guy.

@CryptolockerMD

I got to hang out with Ivan on their tour bus after a show, where he proceeded to feed me and a lady friend free alcohol because they had to go out of state and couldnt carry it across state lines. We probably chilled for like 2-3 hours just talking. The rest of the guys popped in on the bus for a few minutes here and there, but they were probably tired. He dared me into eating a pack of dried/seasoned mealworms and we made a video of it. It was a good time. This was before he started having problems. A night i'll never forget.
