Reaal about the gatekeeping tho i tend to do that too but im working on it... a while ago i been in a toxic friendship (that lasted 5yrs) where that person for example copied everything I had or did in a more extra way in an attempt to outshine me. Gatekeeping the stuff that i love is something i do unconsciously and i dont think its good either so im tryna work on trusting people again ❤ lots of love to everyone, watch out for yourselves and others teehee

That last one is such a vibe.Because so many times you try to hang out with somebody and they literally just make fun of you because you like some music. Imagine being proud of being miserable when you hear something.

I agree so much with the music one. The only one I would definitely say does have is turns is the first one because coming from somebody who used to not really like care to gatekeep when you get around people that just like, make fun of you for something and then start doing it. It makes you really not want to tell what you have or what you like.

even as someone who thrifts i will try and look at the brand tag for the person!!! i pretty much get everything thrifted (in terms of clothes) but the only time i don’t tell is if its thrifted fast fashion cuz i don’t wanna encourage fast fashion its against my beliefs entirely, but the thrifted moisturizer is CRAZY work

the music one is so real! i don't know why it's been normalized to make fun of music, because a tonne of my music has genuinely saved my life countless times, and if its mainstream, its mainly for a GOOD reason! people like it, and so do i!
