I think you should get a tray for the bottom of the washer dryer in case the washer has a leak, it won’t ruin the floor.
I do hope that Dad will be there with you throughout your entire remodels. I've loved seeing your relationship working to establish your beautiful 🏡
When you say, "My dad's coming over to...", all of us who watch faithfully think, "YAYYY!" It is do great to see how much he supports you. And the two of you working together get things done.
I swear I have never enjoyed anything as much as I have enjoyed tuning in each week to see how the $1 House is coming along. You’re so productive and Dad is the sweetest man alive. Thank you for sharing!
Yes, a greenhouse! What about reusing the slab area for the greenhouse. Then a attach your garden to the greenhouse. Then your garden would get full sun and easy access to your greenhouse. It's exciting to see your dream come true.😊
I had no idea how much work needed to be done on the Hoosier cabinet. You are giving it a second life & I cannot wait to see it finished. That tile strip on the art studio floor/closet is so pretty. And thank you for sharing your future plans for the channel.
In the closet, I would suggest getting a piece of the UV blocking window cling or cellular blinds for the window or all of your clothes are going to get sunbleached over time.
I am so proud of you as a human being!! This is for your puppy...Be sure to make sure he/she (?sorry I forgot) is on heartworm prevention, flea&tick meds, and a yearly exam.💜
Good day! Tips; insulate the wall in the stairs to the basement, don’t paint the stone walls in basement, instead lime-wash it it will let the wall breathe Looove your channel!
The Hoosier cabinet has been kind of like a mascot during this whole series, so I'm actually happy you weren't able to completely finish it this week. Finishing that means that it's the end of an era. So excited to see all of the other updates throughout your property, though!
I think it would be beautiful to use the glass tile from your laundry area as a backsplash above the kitchen sink and stove, and on the hoosier above the butcher block. Love everything you've done thus far. Your home is stunning!
That tile strip is GORGEOUS against the wood flooring. It's those tiny details that can really make a room.
I know you have a ton of suggestions from folks, but I’ll add one thing that is a game changer in the long run. The porch you have said just across the front of the house-wrap that around and cover it! It helps cut down on energy bills, doubles your square feet of living space, huge impact on the ‘feels like I added another whole house’, and ultimately makes the paint and windows last longer. Best investment to retain value in your garden work.
As someone who has had a washer overflow, get a pan and put a water alarm in the pan. Our washer fill valve stuck open and filled for an hour when we were upstairs. We had standing water in our first floor.
You know, those sketchy porches ARE the worst! LOL. So glad to hear there will be a Basement and Outdoor Series!
Anyone who gets excited about running water is my kinda person!! I am so excited about your progress, and the future videos of the basement and garden.
I’ve watched this series from the beginning, and I started to get a little emotional when you were working on the Hoosier cabinet because it has been waiting a long time to get an upgrade. It’s the most prominent thing from the original house, moved from room to room, and now it gets its moment to shine. Just felt like the beginning of a nice complete cycle.
Cherish those moments with your father ❤
My Dad was the one who taught me almost everything in life. When you and your Dad work together it brings back so many fond memories. Thank you for sharing this journey. You (and your Dad) are doing a fabulous job!!!!
