My daughter recently purchased a couch from PB. The fabric, quality, and comfort are all outstanding. She is very happy with it! Don’t settle-get something you both truly love.

Your husband is so into the shopping, so supportive, so interested and involved - I'm envious.

@christina9207

i have had an Ikea couch that lasted and was pretty comfy.... getting the slip covers off and on was like wrestling a bear. i have had several Pottery barn couches and highly recommend. the fabric holds up to stains and spills, the slip overs are so easy to take off and put on, and the most important .... the most comfortable and substantial sofas... i have never gone wrong with the Pottery Barn couches.

@linp1268

I haven't been to Ikea for several months, so Thank you for the tour. They have great items and furniture for someone starting out who has a small budget. I love thier kitchen gadgets and pillow covers and I really like their storage units/wardrobes. Some of their curtains are really nice also and not expensive. As far as having a comfortable sofa, if you have the budget, go for the more comfortable one at Pottery barn. You want to be cozy and feel good when you sit to relax on your sofa. It is not like dishes or decor that you might keep for a while and then sell, it is an investment piece that you will have for many years.
Don't feel worried about it, when the time comes you will know what to do. You have great taste!! 😊

@sunshinegalkw9675

It’s worth buying the pottery barn one!! I bought ikeas used a year and sold it to get the potter y barn sofa

I have York, 6 yrs, NO regrets. Kids pets, its amazing!

@lisahoerr9713

POTTERY BARN!!!! You’ll take it with you when you buy a house! For sure!!

Re: sofas...DON'T settle...go with Pottery Barn-yes, more pricey but if you love it you will never think about it again. Been there..done that. I still have an exceptional chair and half in my small home-pad almost $1500. for it in 2006...yes 2006. It's a beautiful off white with ottoman in an everyday suede. i just keep a nice muslin throw on it and it look and feels brand new. Don't settle.......

@nancybarendt7877

I don't know how you can shop and not buy everything. You definitely have willpower.

@stephanieGallantvlogs

Everything looks beautiful! I love the classic wrapping paper too xx

@cindyanderson8509

Y’all are so much fun to watch! Lots of good baskets and plaid items. I love plaid everything lol😊

@mountaingarden8823

Spend the money on a quality sofa for sure. Don’t forget to watch consignment furniture stores for used PB as well.

@vintageglitter2469

That was fun. I take my tree down day after Christmas too. I’m over it by then And wanting to refresh. 🌲

@marissaackerman4393

We had an ikea couch in a small apartment for years and we never truly loved it. When we finally got a new couch we regretted waiting so so long. They just get less and less comfortable as time goes on, so I personally would splurge a little more on your couch and find one that is easier to clean.

@joannac.5698

Still have our couch going on 30 years, and it has retained its quality and comfort. We paid real money for our couch at now defunct IN Furniture and haven’t had to replace it every ten years. “Four-way hand tied, kiln dried wood frame” will last you. You do get what you pay for in this instance. Good Luck!

@judahbaygirlie8292

The OG Ikea slipcovered couch with feather cushions was the best. The newer versions are too hard. I'm going with PB for the next couch.

@dominicchavez3287

I don’t care what anyone say about Oregon or Portland. I love that’s state

@jeanettefujikawa

Loved so many items!! My closest IKEA is 4&1/2 hours away 😩. In regards to the sofa, I would not settle. And since you are asking our opinion, I would not buy a new couch for a temporary apartment (when you get back to Phoenix). Keep what you have until you find the house and then splurge on that 😊.

@deborahcosta3278

One last thought...spend on the basics (sofas, chairs, tables and cabinets), Have fun and save with the "dupes" , decor and accessories...

@HMR0908

I did my homework on a sofa, after losing ours to a nightmare. I tried pottery barn, loved them! I have so much pottery barn in My Home. However, I went with the size sectional from Crate&Barrel with the AXIS I had the custom order, I wish I would’ve gotten a more neutral color. But I love the sofa and it cleans up just with a wet paper towel so amazingly! It’s so comfy and cozy and it’s still really big for my 1700 square-foot . I hope you give that a look. I even went to Ethan Allen. I forget where else I’ve gone. I went so many places, but I’m so happy with my purchase.
