@TweakMDS

I feel like the Pen Addict podcast needs to interview you on this, I've never seen anyone get accurate mileage on a pen :D

@tanvirahmad5893

A true quality video that answers questions we have always been asking.

@user-oz3pq5bt5o

God I love these tests so much! This is gonna be a treat to watch!

@borr33tube

This is an awesome idea you have to execute these tests outside the manufacturer's ink labs. Since you are going to be testing more Parker refills, I would recommend trying the Parker Quink GEL refill. This can be directly compared to the normal Quink FLOW refill for an oil base vs a gel based ink in the same or very similar refill cartridge.

I enjoy watching your videos! You always keep them interesting and full of information.

@scott-o9p

For me, the Parker jotter is the absolute goat among ballpoint pens.

@Sammydx1

When i was a freshman(94) in hs my grandfather bought me a Parker jotter all metal. I used it all year. I think i went through 3 or 4 refills. Summertime came, and pen went into the bottom of my bag
Sophomore year comes, and I'm school supplies shopping, and it dawns on me. I'll buy a few refills and use the same pen.
Junior year. I bought a new Jotter all metal to rotate. Used a few refills again.
Senior year. Same 2 pens.

@epicmoo4830

This is excellent data! Thank you!

@lordadamfirst

I've got a 1985 parker, from my Mum, with what is almost certainly it's original cartridge. Both cartridge and pen marked as Made in England. The cartridge still works reliably, although its a little 'stiff'. I'm not sure if it's just how they were or if the ink has become slightly dried. The line itself seems reliable, it doesn't skip at all. I've ordered a jetstream refill to make it more enjoyable to use. I had an easyflow 9000 somewhere but not sure which pen it ended up in...

@AhmedBahaauldeen

i love this channel, keep it up my man .

@hayesjk11

You need to do the fisher pen that is supposed to never run out of ink in the users life

@dannygarden2292

Can you try the Pilot Metropolitan ballpoint refill? Kilometrico vs Bic Crystal would also be nice. Please do it if you can.

@rikoflishas

oh wow no wonder my parker jotter hasn't needed a refill in like three years xd great test!

@iiisaac1312

You could tie the refill to the end of a string and swing it around as a DIY centrifuge to get the rest of the ink to tip. Might be a bad idea though, since the refill itself is mostly metal and will probably get permanently embedded in the ceiling if it were to detach.

@itsrash.17

A test with the pilot acroball refills please 😁

@imajeenyus42

Didn't realise you had an AxiDraw! Cool to see an older model around.

@pnwesty7174

I found ITOYA refills through this channel, I think. The tip is a little different, but I haven't been able to stop using my little SS Jotter with that refill. Buttery smooth and decent color, and with the gel behind the ink - it completely emptied/dried out.

@andrewn7365

Really interesting video! I am surprised it was only 8930ft (2.7km) because they're advertised as being able to write 3km-3.5km on the package. I wonder if maybe the rigorous testing (which is awesome btw) maybe doesn't allow for the viscous ink to settle like regular use would? More likely Parker is just counting the last 300m of spotty writing in their figures. I bet a Schmidt P900 would offer similar distance because they're both ISO-12757.2 certified inks. They might not be the most fun to write with but they're ISO certified for legibility and longevity.

@albertow.7755

Very thank you for your special test, you are a pro! 😎

@arcfide

I think it would be neat to keep it in the same brand family and compare the distance and price per foot (1000 ft?) of products in the same family. So, say, a Jotter fountain pen with Parker Quink Black against a Parker Jotter ballpoint in black. I think it would also be neat to compare the price per foot of the classic Bic Cristal against the 1L Pelikan 4001 fountain pen ink in something like a Lamy Safari or other affordable style cartridge pen. I see the 1 liter Pelikan 4001 ink as the equivalent to buying a whole bunch of bulk Bic Cristals (the ultimate cheap, bulk, brand name product), and both Cristals and 4001 have been around forever.

@M3chron

I love these videos so much, it's one thing to have a pen you love and write well but knowing for a fact how long/much it will write for is great, and helps me justify to my co-workers why I buy "expensive" pens 😂

Keep it up bud always love to see a new video pop up from you.

P.S. Any chance you could try the Pilot Hi Tec C?
