@TheEG13

As a note: the only Yo-Kai that is unavailable during this challenge with my rules is Pandanoko since he requires another system to have the chance of appearing in Wayfayor Manor. If I do the rest of the games, I can safely say that Pandanoko (and in 3, Starry Noko) won't be gotten in this playthrough

Also correction: as some of the comments pointed out, it did relatively well in Europe, so that's my bad

@KingChelusFimbriata

Ykw content in 2025 brings an unexplainable amount of joy to me :)

@mintparty1799

As someone whose entire childhood was Yo Kai watch. I was so sad to see it fall off but this video made me happy to sit down and watch after years without hearing of yo Kai watch.

@sslender07

wait, Yo-kai watch is considered obscure? This shit was my childhood. It might have been more popular in Australia, idk. I would love to see yo do this in Yo-kai watch 2 as well. Psychic Specters is probably the best choice.

@peopleperson3599

I haven't played in years but all those traumatic memories came back when you mentioned the infinite inferno

@Hawkow_Ruby

i barely just started the video but i just wanted to correct something you said in the intro, yo kai watch was absolutely NOT a flop in europe, or at least not with french speaking audiences, it was actually a pretty big hit, it only really flopped in the US

@PenguinLordBS

First ever time i see somebody "100%" any of the Yo-Kai Watch games. And I've been searching for these for years at this point. Absolutely love it!

@pineball43

i could not imagine how insanely difficult to do this would be in ykw3, amazing job on this challenge! (i cannot believe you can get so many yokai that early)

@PerculiarGroup7496

As a collective consciousness, I think Yo-Kai Watch got robbed by Nintendo and it deserved better

@Tahitian_Cats-45

I'm actually really impressed. This was actually really entertaining, and I 100% think you should continue this series.

@StagBag9744

It's wonderful to see this great game being played still. As I recall, the first game was absolutely massive. As you said you couldn't escape it lol. It even had a show on Cartoon Network. The second game came out and was not nearly as popular as the first, but still generated talk.

Then the series was just... forgotten, it seems. Obviously, in Japan, the series remained popular, but certainly in Europe, no one talked about it anymore.

It may have been a combination of Pokemon Sun and Moon getting crazy fanfare, the Anime no longer bring played on Cartoon Network, or the third game being released on the 3ds when attention was now on the switch, though I cannot remember it properly lol.

Either way, a series that actually seemed to almost dethrone pokemon in popularity (certainly where I was) seemed to get forgotten overnight.

I'm still waiting for Yo Kai Watch 4's English release, lol. This video is great and wonderful to see, I cant wait to see what you might do next. 😁

@PokekaiPJNew

Wait, this is actually a genius and VERY interesting idea. I’m just starting, but I can’t wait to see just how many Yo-kai are available in each segment.

@SmoothBrainStuff

Absolutely loved playing this game as a kid!! I remember it was surprisingly challenging, especially some of the later bosses and catching some of the rarer Yokai. I'd like to revisit it some day and try to catch all of them but I don't think I'd have the patience, so huge respect for this video

@sajones015

Randomly came across this video, and I’m surprised someone actually did a Prof.Oak run in this game, Great job. That said I couldn’t help but notice you counted the Yokai Reversette twice, at 10:14 during the Crank-a-Kai segement and again at 18:30 during the fusion segment

@joaodasilva3210

Someone, on YouTube, playing Yo-kai Watch in 2025. Never thought I’d see the day.

@luisito-zf5qw

This is an amazing video, absolutely loved this video since I’ve spent almost 1000 hours in the yokai watch series. Please continue these videos, it’s extremely entertaining!

@thatweirdphoneguystickman5596

Something tells me his watch was already good enough to see S rank Yo-Kai, Mr. Goodsight.

@Evan_Rizzler

Ykw was my childhood game and seeing this makes me wanna replay Fleshy Souls (my favorite ykw) and I hope you make a Ykw 2 Professor Oak challenge because this video was awesome! 🙏👍

@ellishughes3050

I'm so glad someone has done this challenge and posted it for the world to see. I've been doing a version of the challenge myself that didn't use the Crank-a-Kai, since my 3DS' camera does not work at all (so no QR codes, which means no Cam Challenges or Gemnyans), so you have massive respect for doing the Crank-a-Kai completely.

I was also really curious as to how to rule Gleam in the game as well, as Orcanos is technically optional, so I couldn't tell if it was best to rule it as after Massiface, or a different boss. I quite like your ruling better, counting optional bosses by the availability to fight them to count them towards the totals. Definitely helps when you have the Holy Exporb exploit, but Noko should be accessible before Gargaros, so I think that works out for me anyways.

I'd hope you'd be interested in doing the other games, but I understand completely if you do not. I've been trying those myself, and pre-Meganyan is a theoretical nightmare with the existence of the Infinite Tunnel, and that's not even considering the limited Yo-Kai coins with exclusives in them (looking at Tyrat), and where to draw the line between connecting to the other games (Mystery Way and Select-a-Coin +). Happy to discuss these areas and others though. These challenges can be frustrating, but they can also be fun at times.

Edit: Seems I messed up in some more areas than I did in my run too. That early Mama Aura battle (and Golden Tofu) drop caught me off guard. Really cool though.

@fishfella8955

PLEASEEEEE do this with Yokai Watch 2! This video was super entertaining and seeing you do it in my favorite Yokai Watch game would be amazing 😭🙏
