@oOWaschBaerOo

the jittering comes from the hall effect sticks being used, there is a board to solder to the back of those that will mitigate this issue completely the fact they didnt use that is a bad sign as they may have cheaped out everywhere they could

@OmairArif

I agree with your take completely. At the end of the day your paying for a $60 controller with hundreds of dollars of mods tacked on to that. These things made sense in the first couple years of the PS5's life, when Sony wasn't licensing any third party controllers. The Razer Wolverine V2 you referenced was actually the first 3rd party controller for the PS5, and the day that and other controllers released for the PS5 was the end of practicality for these pre-modded controllers. Now these brands continue to last I think solely through sponsorships and people's favorite streamers using them.

I know a couple people who have bought these sort of controllers in the past and every single on of them regretted it. The kind of person who can justify spending $250+ on a controller probably uses their controller far too much for it to last, especially when you consider these are arguably less durable than the stock controllers they're built on top of.

What is still practical though over buying a Wolverine controller or similar, is to just mod your PS5 controller yourself. There are kits available to add the most wanted features, like the back buttons, to your existing Dualsense controller. Which works out way cheaper than buying a whole new controller to get those features. The only tough mod that most people probably can't DIY is soldering in new sticks.

Sidenote, the calibration tool you mentioned is actually what most decent repair shops use when they replace the sticks on a controller now a days. The fact that Get a Grip didn't run that calibration tool before sending the unit out is insane.

Ngl this looks like a toy...
The hexgaming phantom looks like a much better deal, higher quality back button and toggable hair trigger.

@theoutsiderjess1869

I tried out the builder the fact that this is the quality you get when scuf, playstation, the victus and wolverine does it better for 200 dollars is better than this thing

@Hi-levels

We want a hall effect sensored dual shock version for ps5

@theoutsiderjess1869

I need a regular ps5 controller I have the limited spidey controller but I need a controller with a grip tho

@SizzlingStu

From the first shots I could see the build quality was poor, the more the video went on the worse it looked.
