China indeed follows a communist ideology, but in terms of wealth distribution, they are currently far ahead of many democratic countries in the world. On the other hand, in capitalist countries, the driving force of the economy is the private sector, which is not obligated to have empathy but is solely driven by profit. If a place is no longer profitable, they will leave without hesitation, abandoning the very society that once nurtured them.
