@marioornot

As an aerospace engineer, what is so incredible to me is how he was able to see the shortcut to his goal so clearly. That spreadsheet with the economic model and technical model simplified down is surely a piece of art.

@deanarvin

One of the more standout story pieces I've seen here.

This guy had no background in this arena but said "f*ck it, this is what's worthwhile." and just did what was necessary.

Do what is necessary, not what is easy.

@abner_horn

I'd like to personally extend my thanks to Blake for inspiring me to pursue a hard tech company in the future. For years, I had been passionate about that, but I thought it would be impossible given that I'm an outsider working in software. But seeing what Blake is doing showed me that it’s possible. Right now, I’m at the stage he was in 2013/14 — picking up textbooks and courses to catch up on the hard skills — and I hope I can build something as impactful as Boom in the near future.

@ihtesham_emon

This is one of the most inspiring videos I've seen years. Thanks to Y combinator for bringing such an amazing video to the audience ❤

@CoachApuma

Okay NOW I understand why I see Paul Graham tweet so much about Boom. This guy seems so authentically passionate and excited about his project that it makes me just want to cheer for him.

@davidadikah2097

Beautiful inspiring story. Thank you Blake for jumping into this arena when all others had given up on supersonic jets.

@EliaCanu

Hey Blake, it’s Nela here. I just wanted to say that you have changed my life. From now on I am going to pursue my dreams fearlessly. I am starting a startup. The world deserves good pizza from my recipe. Haters will hate. But I am not going to give up. Thanks Blake. ❤

@OrangeDurito

This is incredibly inspirational! Founder’s motivation is truly the most important driving factor that can build a seemingly impossible company.

@mahtabsoin

What a beautiful and inspirational video. The best from YC yet, in my opinion. Kudos.

@prajeii_728

Incredibly Inspirational !

@sputnik8543

This is literally the embodiment of just bringing it everyday by sheer force - incredible story

@UxJoy

Need more of these! Blake is awesome.

@KarlinaAstuti-g7s

YC and Fireship channel are good places to catch up 😮

@hvrmnd

Wow, glad YC supported this. Seems like just asking the right questions is the key! That led to the beautiful spreadsheets and on to the next.
I am 31 and have been working on an idea since I was 24. Due to severe financial catastrophes by external elements, I was unable to actively work on it. My idea is complex too, but I am always motivated to work on it every second hence started to apply to YC batches.

@ishangoswami9462

best video i watched this whole week

@thumarzeel

The proof of “Mindset is all you need”

@XShollaj

Blake is such an inspiration. You can just do things

@andrew_arderne

Looking forward to real engineering and mustard doing a video about overture in a few years!

@simrans3675
