I was trafficked when I was 13/14 years old. I was in children and family services. You’d be very surprised how easy it is to manipulate someone that’s young and naïve. Now being in my mid 40s I realize how much I was taking advantage of.Drugs play a big part of it as well as companionship as well as money as well as feeling like you’re needed and wanted. My heart goes out to all the victims. It’s not easy to heal from trauma this deep trust me. I’m pleasantly surprised that she’s able to have somewhat of a normal life with a husband and family/kids.
Law student here, opening statements are not supposed to argumentative and you shouldn’t attack the other side’s evidence. Opening statements are strictly to provide the jury with the theory of your case I.e the evidence will show etc… also the average American reads at the fifth grade level so we’re encouraged to avoid using technical terms or legalese. Delivery also depends on the attorney tbh. Everyone has their own style and cadence, the atty may not be the type to get extra passionate
If Diddy wins and Luigi loses it'll prove Luigis philosophy that the elite are above the law
its so nasty how the defense seems to have no way of defending him without blaming/shaming the women he abused. i'm really trying to go into this with an open mind but the attorney blaming a teenager for being manipulated by a grown ass man and then focusing on "what she got out of it" is so infuriating
Claiming that everyone got something out of being with Diddy because its transactional kinda forgets that victims of domestic abuse feel trapped whether they truly are or not due to the intensity of the trauma. I don't know if the stats have changed but it takes 7 times for a survivor to finally shake off their abuser and permanently leave.
I'm struggling to see how people are saying Stephanie is being disrespectfully when she has shown the most the upmost empathy towards the entire situation and has largely refrained from stating personal opinions whilst giving us the facts. People are weird and I will mainly trust the source of THE Stephanie Soo above everything else all day, every day.
What’s crazy to me is that clearly his lawyers can’t really defend him cuz they seem to have zero valid points to fight back with that they’ve resulted to victim blaming smh
“They’re grown women they need to be held accountable, they could have left if they wanted to.” Cut to direct witness testimony of diddy saying repeatedly she’s not leaving to the security……..
I'm sorry...Cassie is pregnant during arguably one of the most stressful times of her life?!?!? Oh momma!! That just adds an element to this case that utterly terrifies me and who the hell am I?!? Hopefully she is able to keep herself calm(ish) and I pray the health of that baby is unaffected by any of this. I'm sure she has put an immeasurable amount of thought into this and I pray this makes her feel empowered more than anything. I'm standing in so much support as well as countless others and I hope she feels that strength. Such a strong and courageous woman to be doing what she is doing and to add pregnant to the mix just takes her to a whole other level. God keep her and that baby safe please.
For those who complained about the wait, you can access quick and trash updates every where on socials. Some of us are here because of the QUALITY!!!!!
As a lawyer. That opening statement from the prosecution was perfect. The opening statement is supposed to prepare the jurors. Think of it as the opening paragraph to an essay or better still, the abstract to an academic abstract. You are supposed to lay the ground for the case. State your hypothesis, briefly describe the proof/evidence/modus operandi. And leave the theatrics at home.
As someone who hasn’t heard about any of the details about this case (as would the jury) I was extremely moved by the opening statement. It’s insanely sad and doesn’t need theatrics or anger. It just is what it is, horrific.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how quick Stephanie has gotten the information, organized it, and then posted it just for us?! This woman delivers news quicker than CNN or FOX lmao.
"and what direction was he dragging her?" "towards the room" "nothing further" PERIODDDDD
as a journalism grad — thank you. this is truly high-quality, raw, hard-hitting journalism. we don’t see much of that anymore. i appreciate you and your team so, so much. don’t worry about the timing; the in-depth videos are definitely preferred. it’s so interesting to hear about the vibes in the courtroom… his mannerisms and the opening statements. please keep us updated if we hear any rationale behind the prosecution team’s unique approach. love you, queen (and team)!
"You may know of his love for baby oil. Is that a federal crime? No." PACK IT UPPP ✋️😭😭😭😭😭😭
All I can think is if that hotel footage never came out, all of this may have never unfolded. So much love for Cassie. I can never imagine a life after that.
youtube is bringing in a new golden age of journalism, and you are certainly at the forefront of it. i'm in awe and very grateful that individuals like you are stepping up to do what the mainstream news media refuses to do. knowing that journalism is being reborn like a phoenix in the form of young people on the platforms that are native to them gives me so much hope for the future.
i feel so terrible for cassie. having to watch and relive that trauma over and over again is genuinely awful. i hope she gets justice and is protecting her peace. <3
