The other thing this works EXTREMELY well is the QL muscles. Every single time I do these, my QL's are toast for days.
I read an article decades ago that Ed Coan used this to also strengthen his grip. Ed could hold a bar loaded with 480 for 40 seconds with one hand weighing only 220.

Donβt do side bends with speed or huge ROM pls just do a suitcase carry like he shows. Heavy side bends can fuck u up just as much as a proper suitcase carry will build u up.

Another thing is weak grip. Every time my grip gives up, my back rounds immediately.

I also use this set-up for heavy side bends, no reason why you can't combine the two as well.
