Might want to take the plastic off the thermal pad first….

@AutodidacticLogic

Miss information. First peel off all manufacturer stickers off of the SSD drive. Clean with alcohol( both sides of SSD. You Need to take the plastic sheet off the thermal heat pad to reveal the adhesive side. Press the thermal heat pad onto the top side of the SSD. ( Small teeth pointed toward your lower right corner and close to you) Squeeze out all air bubbles between SSD and heat pad. (Air bubbles trap heat). Then peel off the top side plastic sheeting away from the thermal heat pad. Then place the thermal metal heatsink on top of the pad and make sure everything is aligned properly. Don't worry the heat pads aren't very sticky so you have room for adjustments. If you wish and if your kit came with rubber bands, you may install them to help hold everything together but it probably won't be necessary. Also, by installing the rubber bands it may make the whole contraption too thick for the SSD placement screw to be installed back properly or not at all unless you get a longer screw. Good luck 🤞🏽

@RahulGupta-Forever

Won't rubberbands melt when SSD heats up?

@Mawiwauii
