One big hole in this video is pricing—for editing, designing, and printing. This can vary widely, mostly depending on the length of the manuscript. For editing, for instance, the price is usually based on the number of words, so a range of cost per word would be helpful for first time self-publishers to create a rough budget. Designing usually depends on how fancy a cover the author wants and what a designer usually charges. Printing cost depends on size and length of book and number of copies. For both of these, there are typical ranges. This video could have helped authors put together a rough budget before they begin the process, especially since Reedsy offers many of these services.
Packed with useful info! Thank you.
All of this information there's no doubt you will know how to publish your own book Great job providing need all information and then more
I'm not sure on the point about needing an editor. That's priced at approx $20-30 per 1,000 words. If I have 95k words, that's a small fortune for me to "self publish"
On KDP, I noticed that under distribution, it wont allow me to select all of them because supposedly they're unavailable, so I can only check on US. How can I have more distributors deliver my books worldwide?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like your hair in the "Is KDP Select Right for You" video. Reminds me of the Pippi Longstalking theme song for some strange reason. 🥰 Now that song is in my head all day🤣
"Oh hi, write to the market instead of actually wabting to write anything. Also watch ten billion other videos to up my total watch time thx " this is your life, take a second and think about that
