I wish people would just grow up man. It doesn't matter if it's Wise or Belle. In canon Vivian, Astra, etc. would act the same way with both characters. The only reason they focus on one of the siblings in gameplay is to make the player feel special.

Yall need to understand… IT DOESNT MATTER IF IT IS WISE OR BELLE. Most of the time the way they act around the proxies doesn’t change no matter who you picked. So you can ship Vivian x wise or Vivian x belle because it doesn’t matter, there is no “better ship” and if you think otherwise you need to go outside. Edit: a lot of yall are missing the point of this comment. THERE IS NO CANON MC AND NO SHIP IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER, YOU CAN SHIP WHOEVER YOU WANT. Even if there was a canon mc that doesn’t mean people can’t ship someone with another character other than wise. There is no canon ship or sexuality for any of the characters and never will be, it’s all up to fan interpretation. Also the homophobia here is crazy if you don’t like queer ships then scroll it isn’t gonna kill you if someone likes yuri ITS JUST A GAME. The answer seems pretty simple to me. Wise and Bell are BOTH phaethon. They operate together to run the video store and internot account. They both have the technical knowledge to repair the HDD system and navigate hollows. The only difference is that the sibling chosen by the player becomes the main person running the internot account while the other sibling works to run the video store and support the chosen sibling when going on missions (and chances are that the siblings canonically take turns running the store and handling internot missions). Vivian is a fan of Phaethon first and foremost. She gets close to the chosen sibling outside of knowing they are "Phaethon" until she finds out boosting any affection for the chosen sibling to be higher. With the end of the most recent story she now likely knows Phaethon is both siblings with one acting as the main operator and the other as the support. Tldr: Vivian is likely a fan of both siblings since they are both "Phaethon". However, she is closer with the chosen sibling on a personal level.

Every character in this game is gonna pander to a different audience. Sometimes it isn't you shrug Evelyn's marketing was agressively gay. So is Hugo's. Lighter is very much aimed at straight women. Vivian is absolutely targeted at the male self-insert crowd, she just is. But guess what? You can ship her with any proxy you want, or any other character with any other character, because literally nothing is canon relationshipwise. Do what you want, leave people alone

Honestly, this kind of drama keeps happening because hoyo refuses to commit to clear storytelling or character relationship. They constantly drop hints and implications, but never confirm anything, which leaves fans to fill the blanks howerver they want, its creates chaos,divisions, and nonstop between people who care about lore and people who just want to push their ships and headcannons. This isn't even about Zzz or any specific characters at this point its a pattern across all their games they prioritize vague appeal to everyone marketing over strong clear narrative, and its ends breaking both tye story and fandom. If they just trusted tge story and characters enough to say what they mean, a lot of this wouldnt even happen. People wouldnt fight over every interaction, and we be more united around what actually happens in the game instand of what might be true based on crumbs. Hoyo needs stop being afraid of losing a few laud fans and actually respect the intelligence of the ones who care about what they building.
