When I switched to linux, I was a gamer, now I am an Arch Linux user and programmer.
Linux os running a fucking .exe file trough a compability layer better than the os which runs .exe files natively. This is how bad windows is
I personally use Linux Mint. I often forget I'm even on Linux. Any time I boot into Windows 11, I am reminded why I switched to Linux.
For anyone on the fence about Linux, I have this anecdote for you. Linux is spectacular and really shines for anyone who has a good amount of tech literacy. Yes you can install Linux Mint and have everything work out of the box like Windows. But once something stops working, any Linux user worth their salt will open up the terminal and fix it which is where Linux excels. If something isn’t working properly on Linux, being able to fix it without reinstalling the OS is a guarantee. So if Windows is often not behaving correctly and you’re tired of reinstalling it to fix it, use Linux instead, your problem was probably just a single config file edit away from being fixed.
It's the first short I watched right after someone uploaded it lol
This is the problem w/ ppl, let him use what distro they want.
Linux has been great for gaming performance for ages. Valve has made actual progress in allowing almost any game to be played with proton. However you still can’t play most games with kernel level anticheat and there is no game pass app.
Am i the only one that noticed that he does not use an aio shield
There is tiny 11 which is basically a Realllyy REALLY OPTIMIZED version for windows 11 Edit : in more details , Tiny11 is an unofficial, stripped-down version of Windows 11 designed to run on older or less powerful hardware. It has gained popularity because it removes many of the resource-intensive features and components of the standard Windows 11 installation.
Honestly, Linux is very competitive those days. Libre Office is able to read MS office, and most games run without any issues. The biggest issue is online gaming, since most anti cheats reject Linux. The milisecond online anti cheats accept Linux, I'm switching straight to Mint
Been running Linux as my main OS for over 3 years and love it. I'm one of those distro hoppers, because I really like testing out other stuff. Customization and consistency is also a really fun part in my opinion - Not just gaming
The biggest issue right now on Linux is games with anticheat and some VR stuff. The experience has come a long ways, but until there's either an open-source drop-in replacement for Windows (imagine ReactOS on steroids) or a Windows compatibility layer for Linux that just makes Windows executables run like normal when you click on them with as few hoops to jump through as possible, I'm sticking to Windows 11.
I actually just installed Bazzite, myself. Loving it so far.I've still got Windows on here still, and I'm booting my games from my windows partition, so there was no need to reinstall everything. Getting the drive to mount and bypassing NTFS's finicky ownership read/write stuff was a bit of a pain, but you only have to do it once, and then only if you're like me and are dual booting.
Underrated channel fr
"A little too smooth" got me rolling 🤣 🤣
Not being able to push the mouse pointer out of boundaries immediately made the os the worst
Am i the only one that thought of jjk nobara?
There's a distro called Bazzite which is perfect if you have a gaming PC that you want to use with your TV sometimes. SteamOS can also work of course.
Thats suspicious smooth sounds reminds my old memories with her😂
