I was sitting on the floor (probably row 11) with my brother at this show. We were still in high school and had never seen a concert of this magnitude. Does anyone remember seeing the crazy chick wearing an all-white burqa (her face and body were covered entirely)? She was sitting directly in front of us and danced with some long-haired guy the entire show. My brother and I still talk about it to this day!
I am 59, I had the privilege to see Prince's first performance in L.A. (West Hollywood) at the Roxy Theatre in 1979 when I was 15 y.o. and saw pretty much all of his performances in Los Angeles. Saw his Dirty Mind Tour in 81, Controversy Tour in 82, 1999 Tour in 83, Lov Sexy Tour in 89, ACT 1 Tour in 93, Love For One Tour in 97, Hit N Run in 01, One Nite Alone Tour in 02, Musicology in 04, Vegas in 07 (saw him three times as he played in Vegas for about 6 months), Welcome to America Tour in 11, and the Outloud Tour in 13. From the first concert, I saw in 79 to the last one I saw in 2013, every single one of his concerts were different and there is no doubt that Prince was, in simple terms, a musical genius and there will never be another like him. I truly miss Prince.
There Will Never Be Another Show Man,Singer,Producer,Musician,Arranger Human Being Like Prince…He Was Music 🎶…
I am Brazilian and I am Prince fan since 1984.
There will never be another Artist like Prince in this life time ❤
Honestly one of the greatest music artists ever. I had the pleasure of working on the Diamonds & Pearl tour in Australia. That's when I started to understand this man is a musical genius. As history tells Prince has done the best Superbowl show, no one else has come close. Incredibly sad he died too soon.
Who else has to keep rewinding to watch something awesome again ??
I was blessed to meet Prince in February of 2000 at a night club in Minneapolis and was invited to sit with him for 3 hours. Then invited to Paisley Park Friday night parties the next night. That was my home every Friday for about 5 years. I miss my deer friend😢💜🙏
An absolute treasure. Awesome to see the audience dancing. In a time when people knew what real music was. Love prince.
Amazing 💕💯🎤💫🤩💋 #nowwatching
Although you may not think of Prince as a shredder, his guitar playing is enough to make anyone’s mouth drop. Prince was noted for his mastery of a variety of musical genres, including disco, punk, R&B, new wave, soul, pop, and psychedelic music. Prince is one of the most successful musicians of all time, having sold over 130 million CDs to his adoring followers.
Wow! What a performance. The musicians were wonderful and PRINCE is the king..
The only musician that I ever shed a tear over was Prince. I saw him at a concert that happened on a whim in Atlanta a few years before his death. He just showed up and started playing. What started out with about 200 people listening ended up with about 30,000 people there to see him over the three-hour set. He was amazing; I remember Kiss, Raspberry Beret, Let’s Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U, Nothing Compares 2 U, Somewhere Here on Earth; he played other people’s songs, too, like All Along the Watchtower, Dance to the Music, Little Ghetto Boy, and Superstition. It was great, especially when he ended with Purple Rain, which as he got older, became more his way of worshiping, or at least that’s what I believe. The guitar solo is on a different level every time he did a live performance. His musicianship will never be duplicated. Long live The Purple One…
I went to this 2004 Concert in Detroit. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! The best concert of my entire life.
John Blackwell RIP - what a drummer!
Sadly i'm Born in 2000 and i never had the opportunity of seeing him live.. but gosh i watched here on YouTube all his live concerts like 15 times and they give me goosebumps every time
Possibly the most talented person to ever live.
Dear God, take good care of Prince. He is so precious for us.
One of the best musicans ever!
