Welcome to Season 4! Our Baja Mexico #Vanlife Series. We are Wiley & Dre and in this series we take our Van, Uhuru, and our Siberian Husky, Maisha international to Baja, Mexico. This season we wanted to explore some uncharted territory in our van and cross international borders for the first time!

Welcome back! In today's episode we take you to San Ignacio. Located on south of Guerrero Negro and north of Santa Rosalia in Baja California Sur. This small town of 700ish people comes alive as the gray whale migration begins in early December to mid March. The town is surrounded by fresh water and palms which is know for growing and harvesting palm dates. In the center of town you can enjoy walking through the mission built in the 1700s, have some coffee, or some food. If you are there for the gray whales continue past the town center and in about 1.5 hours you reach the San Ignacio Lagoon. The friendliest whales in Baja! We enjoyed a very long encounter with a mother whale and her calf! Watch to see the magic unfold!

In the months of December, January, February and March gray whale come down to Baja California Sur to mate and birth their calves. Three main bays in Baja are known for an abundance of gray whales.
