Kristen V. Carter is an award-winning executive producer, entrepreneur and speaker from Newark, New Jersey. Most recently, Kristen served as Showrunner and Executive Producer for the PBS gospel music concert special entitled GOSPEL Live! Presented by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. that featured performances by John Legend, Erica Campbell and Anthony Hamilton. To support the show’s publicity efforts, Kristen’s production company Kristen V. Carter Entertainment LLC created and executed the four-city promotional initiative, GOSPEL Live! Screening and Q&A Talkback Tour, co-produced by Morris Street Media in association with PBS and McGee Media. The tour producers secured major national press opportunities including GMA3 and ABC News Live.

She’s produced for major shows such as The Voice (NBC) and Chase’s digital literary series, Hart of it All, starring Kevin Hart. In addition to her work in non-fiction programming, Kristen is the founder of Trust Your Magic™, an inspirational brand that reinforces the power of honoring your gifts and talents to unlock your full potential – it’s all about turning hardship into triumph! She is also the Co-Founder and Head of Community Engagement and Career Development for HUE You Know, a production resource group for professionals of color in entertainment. The organization currently consists of 22,000+ members around the nation in various areas of production.
