This was one of several digital Geishas designed for a video installation. I enjoy drawing Geisha and have done many serious I.lustrations and water colors of Geisha, but these Geisha and Maiko are showing them out of character. Their performance requires strict control so catching them in a more casual moment is rare and funny. These Illustrations have been used in many applications which is the advantage of the digital medium. This particular drawing was done in Procreate with a pastel brush. I use Adobe Illustrator to enlarge pieces or clean up any edges and enhance certain parts. Drawings are designed from models and photo reference.
