MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU! May 4 has historically been an active #tornado day, including back in 2007 during an insane period for the southern plains. On this day, our intrigue with the suction vortices of tornadoes was born, as we had an up-close experience with suction vortices in a rope #tornado. On this same day, during the evening, the tragic Greensburg, Kansas EF5 tornado happened from a supercell resulting from a complex hierarchy of supercell splits and merger ls.
