“Flair Battle 2 v3” was composed in GarageBand (ios) on my iPhoneX. I started composing the song on May 6, 2022 at 10:12 PM, and finished it later that same day by around 11:49 PM. Although I know nothing about the key it's in or the chords present, the song has a tempo of 120 bpm and is 33 bars long.

The night that I composed this, I'd just been listening to some of my stuff both that I'd been working on and stuff that I'd already finished in GarageBand, and I just decided that I'd compose a v3 for this song because I wanted to.

So to start, I considered what I did and didn't like about both v1 and v2, (most of the problems I had were with v2 which I don't think is actually very good,) and decided to make v3 much closer at heart to being like v1, but with the knowledge, instrumentation and reworked melodies I've gained up until this point, including a lot of the cool stuff that I've created and figured out with some of my misc2 songs.

I believe this song is my best attempt so far at capturing the feel I'd wanted to capture for a long time with Flair Battle 2 v1 and v2, and the feel of fleradove-ness and hope/persistence/fantasy in general. I also think it's quite interesting how when I composed v2 I was very concerned about making it the best I possibly could, my "magnum opus", and yet it ended up being the worst of the three; and yet this song, composed just because I felt like it on a random night in the span of like an hour or two is what becomes a much more beautiful representation of Fleradove-ness and is much closer to what I wanted.

(Additionally, as the name suggests, you could still consider this song a battle theme, but not in the way you'd think. It’s not really about the kind of battle where you fight enemies in a videogame or anything similar, but I think by this point it's more related to seriously-taken battles where people are actually suffering and dying, (sometimes not even physically.))
