Four-leaf Clover I Found in The Garden | Nambaron Creative
A four-leaf clover is an unusual variation of a regular clover. It is believed that four-leaf clovers bring good luck to those who happen to find them. In addition, each card is also believed to represent something: the first card represents faith, the second card hope, the third card represents love and the fourth card luck. The clover was used by Saint Patrick as a metaphor for the Trinity in Ireland, not the same species as the clover that can mutate to produce a four-leaf clover.
It is estimated that there is one four-leaf clover for every 10,000 clover plants. The record was 56 leaves, discovered by Shigeo Obara of Hanamaki, Iwate, Japan on May 10, 2009. Another recorded case of about 160,000 four-leaf clovers was found.
It should be distinguished from some species that already have four leaves in nature, such as Oxalis tetraphylla, Marsileaceae, but do not belong to the genus Clover and do not have parallel white veins on the leaves and are characteristic of clover.
