xDefiant is shutting down after facing stiff competition in October with Call of Duty Black Ops 6 multiplayer gameplay competing for the same playerbase. There's a rumor that the player base has already fallen off and that Ubisoft leadership is disappointed in the game's performance. Originally it was rumored that season 3 might be the very last season for XDefiant but now we know for sure. You can't even download the game anymore.
