During the 2022 Gulf Summer Series Season Opener at Armory Digital, history was able to repeat itself. As the #11 of Jordan Stout took the lead with half a lap to go, the #97 of Nathan Stapleton was able to get help on the inside, with both drivers being side by side coming to line. In the end, Stout was able to barely beat Stapleton, with a margin of victory of just 0.002 of a second, the closest in series history!!
