Welcome to Season 4! Our Baja Mexico #Vanlife Series. We are Wiley & Dre and in this series we take our Van, Uhuru, and our Siberian Husky, Maisha international to Baja, Mexico. This season we wanted to explore some uncharted territory in our van and cross international borders for the first time!

Welcome back! In our last episode our hearts were broken into a million pieces when Maisha passed leaving us wondering what to do next. We needed to figure out if we were going to stay in Baja or go home. Nothing seemed right. It took us over three weeks and many miles of walking on the Malecon of La Paz and then on the beach of Cerritos to process what happened, to grief, and realize we needed to find our new norm as a family of two instead of three now.

We didn't realize it but when we started learning how to surf in Cerritos that it was just the distraction that we needed at the time. Learning how to surf taught us how to be present and in the moment which temporarily cleared our minds of the grief we were feeling. It felt good to be sore from being tossed around the ocean and to give up control all day. At the end of each day we were so tired that we could fall asleep instead replaying the nightmare of everything over and over again in our minds. Coming to Cerritos allowed us to clear our heads and made reach a final decision that we were going to stay in Baja.
