Components Needed

1 x NPN transistor (e.g.,bc547, 2N2222)
1 x PNP transistor (e.g., bc557,2N2907)
1 x Green LED
1 x Red LED
Resistors (appropriate values, e.g., 220Ω for LEDs, and 1kΩ for base resistors)
A series element to test (e.g., a wire, resistor, etc.)
Power supply (e.g., 3.7V battery)

A multimeter can measure

Resistors - Measure resistance value.
Capacitors - Measure capacitance value and sometimes ESR.
Inductors - Measure inductance value.
Diodes - Check forward voltage drop and reverse leakage.
Transistors (BJT, FET, MOSFET) - Check type, pin configuration, gain, and leakage currents.
LEDs - Check forward voltage drop and light up the LED.
Thyristors and SCRs - Check type and basic functionality.
Zener Diodes - Measure Zener voltage.
Triacs - Check basic functionality.
Batteries - Measure voltage.
Coils - Measure inductance and resistance.
Quartz Crystals - Check frequency.
