Vintage Iron on Moab's Lockhart Basin Trail - Easter Jeep Safari Week with the Qwaaazy 8s Jeep Club

61704 1403________

Join the Qwaaazy 8s Jeep Club on a tour through Moab Utah’s Lockhart Basin, as they explore one of the least-travelled areas in Red Rock Country. Follow Stan Fuller and “Granpa’s Jeep” as we go in search of the crash site of a WWII era Lockheed T-33 A Shooting Star, explore remote cattle ranches, and share coldies and street tacos around the campfire.

Lockhart, by the way, is one of the few trails you can run during EJS where you might not see anyone for two days. Our crew included Dave Delight in “Rusty,” his 1949 CJ-3A, Jeff Petrowich in “Bam Bam,” a `43 Willy MB, Alan Kohler in “Thumper,” and Jason Harris with his `47 Willys CJ2A. Other characters included Peter “Cowboy” Vollers’ 304-powered `74 CJ-5, and even a Timm Cooper and Jessie Coombs in their Series Land Rovers—you know the rule…you must drink now. And lest we forget our chef extraordinaire, Gustav Dow (and his ‘boss’ Kat), who whipped up some amazing desert street tacos.
