AppSecEngineer’s Chief Research Officer, Abhay Bhargav is constantly learning and always exploring things around AppSec. Abhay started his career in pentesting and red-teaming, but today is more involved in scaling AppSec with Cloud-Native Security and DevSecOps. He is a speaker and trainer at major industry events including DEF CON, BlackHat, OWASP AppSecUSA, EU and AppSecCali.

Here are 3 things he plans to learn in the first quarter of 2023.

1. #eBPF - Its super-useful for runtime security, tracing and performance monitoring. He plans to make this an AppSecEngineer course.

2. WASM - he sees this as a viable alternative to containers and great packaging tech.

3. SPIFFEio - This is a super important problem (workload identity) and he really appreciate the depth at which this project seems to be handling this issue. This will also soon be an AppSecEngineer course.
