Game of Tomes Readalong - Catcher in the Rye

134 10________

This month's selection for the Game of Tomes was Catcher in the Rye, a story about a teenager who hates the world. Never been done before! j/k 🤣 This is, however, one of the biggest 'red flag' books out there and I was excited to see why. Who are these people who LOVE this walking warning sign of a book? I was truly surprised by this one.

This book is going up against Charles Dickens' David Copperfield. Both follow young men in somewhat "coming of age" stories but from different time periods and countries. The comparisons will be interesting to see. Copperfield follows an entire lifetime while Catcher follows about two days, but they both manage to pack in a LOT.

GoT. . .
