Trans Catalina Island Thru Hike | SOLO FEMALE
#transcatalinatrail #solofemalehike #thruhike
This was my first solo thru hike. I was already out in San Diego on a business trip and decided to check out the Trans Catalina Trail. So glad that I did because it was the perfect hike to do solo.
Although, it does require a bit of planning ahead of time because you have to book all your campgrounds in advance. You are not allowed to stealth camp on Catalina Island. You also will have to book your ferry.
This hike was such a beautiful hike. The landscape was breathtaking, there was an abundance of wildlife (buffalo, grey fox, squirrels, and birds), and did I mention that most of the campgrounds are on the beach!
This hike could easily be done in 2-4 days, but I decided to take four days to complete it because I really just wanted to be able to take it all in.
If you have any questions about the hike or logistics on how to make it all happen, feel free to comment below and will would be more than happy to get back to you.
Happy Hiking! I hope you add this hike to your list!
