We decided to kick off our first event, Haldi Sundowner, with a dance performance to set the festive mood for everyone. We thought adding color smoke bombs to it would make it dramatic, and it did, but not in a good way! 😕

Little did we know that a few of those would malfunction and drop sparks on us and our friends holding the smoke guns. It was the worst for Chai as some blazing sparks fell on her while we tried to continue dancing through the pain. They not only seared through her dress, but the skin of her hand also had burn spots eventually. 🥺

So, in short, our entry was literally lit! 🎇😅

Chai had to run after one point before it got worse. Pause the video to see the shower of sparks just after she escaped! Can't imagine staying there slightly longer would have done. 😱

Anyway, being the performers we are at heart, all that didn't stop us from giving a retake because, as they say, the show must go on! 💃🏻🕺🏻

We're happy we danced again because our family and friends joined us at the end, which became one of the most cherished moments of the event! Everyone was pumped up, which is exactly how we wanted to start the affair! 🤩
