Payroll Paid Outside of Payroll Processing Service

580 14________

Please note: I know the journal entry for the tax deduction had the description "debit tax" for the $623.17. The reason for this language is because it would be a debit to the payroll processing service (on the opposite end of the transaction). I should have clarified this in the video.

I demonstrated the payroll entries in QuickBooks Online, but the concepts could be applied to other accounting programs.
