Dalawang weather systems ang magpapaulan sa bansa: ang easterlies na maraming dalang moisture na nagiging thunderstorm at ang ITCZ na nakaaapekto naman sa Mindanao.

Isang low pressure area (LPA) ang inaasahang papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Sabado, Mayo 17.
