Govcrypt is a new ransomware. It is from the Chaos family. It is also known as the .Govcrypt file virus. It encrypts files and appends the .Govcrypt extension to the filenames. Hence, it's not possible to use the files. Then the ransomware tells the victims to pay a special ransom for file restoration. Yet, paying the ransom is not a good idea.
