The White Hotel by The Picnic Boys. Early Minimal Wave single released on Challet Records in 1982, loosely inspired by the D.M. Thomas book of the same name.

The Picnic Boys were actually only one person. Recorded on a Tascam 4 track portastudio.
Using Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Roland Dr Rhythm drum Machine and an Electronic Dream Plant Gnat Synth (a single oscillator version of the better know Wasp)
Only 500 singles were pressed. The single received a fair amount of local radio play, but due to lack of a distribution deal this did not translate into significant record sales.
