Head Study (Beginner Friendly)

534 32________

In this video, I’m doing head studies using reference photos. I start by tracing the major landmarks and structure in red directly on the reference image to help visualize the construction, and then I draw the head from scratch based on that breakdown.

This method helps me (and hopefully you!) better understand head proportions, placement of features, and overall form.

📌 What to Expect:

Redline structural tracing over the reference

Drawing the head based on those construction lines

Focus on proportion, structure, and accuracy (not shading or rendering)

🎯 Great for beginners and anyone looking to improve their portrait drawing fundamentals.
