On the official LinkedIn profile of Ian Gander - Senior Designer at Rockstar Leeds in January of 2021 - in the experience section it was noted that he has worked on GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and unannounced title(s) for Rockstar Games. Fast forward one month to February, two staff members from the GTAForums started making cryptic posts. The first being from Mach1Bud and the second being from uNi with some real life GTA Online Shark Cards detailing GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas AND GTA 5 "before GTA 6." Then, as of last week Take 2 Interactive removed multiple GTA 5 map mods that contain the Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas maps. This is important to note because the last time this happened to GTA 5 was in April 2017 when Take 2 Interactive removed the Red Dead Redemption map mod project that had been in the works for a couple of years... Then the following year Red Dead Redemption 2 released featuring the map from the cancelled mod. In October of 2020, Rockstar Games also acquired Ruffian Games. A studio known for it's remaster of the Halo games with the Halo: Master Chief Collection. In my opinion, there seems to be stacking evidence to SUGGEST that a remaster of the GTA trilogy is in the works to hold fans over after the release of GTA 5 expanded & enhanced and also while we wait on GTA 6.
