Backpacking Aravaipa Canyon from the East Entrance. We took our family to the Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness to go backpacking. It was breathtaking. The East Trailhead is accessed from U.S. Highway 70 between Safford and Bylas on a 46-mile dirt road that has creek crossings without bridges.
