“Rainy Day” was composed in Smule’s Magic Piano composer on my old 8GB phone, and uploaded to Smule’s servers on October 20th, 2017 at 07:02:26 PDT.

I don't really remember anything about the development of this song due to how overshadowed it was for myself for a long time by "Sunny Day". (This so was much so that until I received the upload dates of songs from the Smule support team for ordering these videos I thought that "Sunny Day" was made first, with this song and "Cloudy Day" coming after it.)

Despite preferring "Sunny Day" for a long time, I actually substantially prefer this song now. (I think one of the most likely reasons why my opinion was so different prior was because my sister liked "Sunny Day" more because it felt happier, and I cared about that opinion/praise from her so much at the time that it led me to really like that song over this one and many others.)
