Service Accounts are important, they act as a security delineation so that a regular user does not have to log into a server directly.
This is more secure, easy to manage, and sometimes application specific.
If you see an account that looks like "svc.app1@domain.com", understand that this is a special account for certain code or team to access a server, often 24X7X365.
