Prepare the game by printing the document on double sided paper. This is important, as the data page is the MIRROR image of the picture page. In other words, when the paper is flipped along its vertical axis (as is the case with double-sided printing,) the date and the picture will align.

Cut out the rectangular cards. Optionally, you may insert into card sleeves.

Rules: Shuffle the stack of timeline cards. Lay one card on the table. Deal cards to all the players.

The number of cards dealt depends on the number of players and the difficulty of the game. Each time some one plays a card, the timeline will get longer. In a four player game, having been dealt four cards, the timeline at the end of the game will be about 16 cards long!

Therefore, it is recommended that, when playing the game for the first time, you keep the health number of cards low:

EASY:
2 Player Game:
Deal 6 cards

3 player game:
Deal 5 cards

4 Player game:
Deal 4 cards

5 or 6 Player game:
Deal 3 cards

Starting with the youngest player, take turns playing one card in the timeline WITHOUT looking at the date on the back.
Once the card is placed, verify it is in the correct position.

When correct, the card stays and it is the next player’s turn.

When incorrect, discard the incorrectly-placed card. That player must draw a replacement.
