“Ungymnopédie” was composed in Garageband (ios) on my iPhoneX. I started composing the song on January 18th, 2022 at 12:55 AM, and finished the song sometime not too long before Monday January 31st, 2022.

Since I had Hatchetflash in mind a lot by this point, and agreed with myself that at least some of the music in the game should sound similar to "Gymnopédie" or C418's music, I figured that I should get to work figuring out how to compose like that. For context, for basically my entire musical career I've composed almost solely fast paced dramatic music in minor keys, whereas here I needed to compose slow calm music in major keys.

After a while of trying to compose something like this though, I became increasingly frustrated, and out of frustration created this song, which was intentionally the opposite of what I had to do so as to vent out some of my frustrations. The name of the song reflects this, quite literally meaning "not Gymnopédie".
