D882 Solar Tracker. #experiment #electric #diy #science #scienceexperiment
In this video, I build a simple solar tracker circuit that automatically rotates a gear motor to face sunlight. The circuit uses basic components like LDRs (light sensors), NPN transistors, and a 3V motor. Perfect for beginners learning analog electronics or renewable energy projects!
Components Used:
2x D882 NPN transistors
2x LDRs (Light-Dependent Resistors)
3V gear motor
100-ohm resistors (2x)
9V battery
How It Works:
When sunlight hits one LDR more than the other, its resistance drops, turning on the corresponding transistor.
The activated transistor powers the motor in one direction, rotating the panel toward the light.
The feedback resistors lock the circuit in one state until the light balance changes, preventing motor jitter.
Key Features:
No microcontroller or coding required.
Automatically tracks light direction.
Uses affordable, easy-to-find components.
Bidirectional motor control with simple analog logic.
