As you might already seen, I am a huge Mythic C2 fan, this is my favorite open source C2 Framework. In this video, we delve into the world of utilizing Discord bots for Command and Control (C2) brokerage. Discord, known primarily as a communication platform for gamers, has evolved into a versatile hub for various communities, including those interested in cybersecurity and ethical hacking.

We start by understanding the concept of Command and Control (C2) in the context of cybersecurity. C2 refers to the communication between a compromised system (the bot) and an external command center (the broker). Traditionally, C2 systems have been complex and often costly to set up, but Discord bots offer a surprisingly accessible alternative.

Our journey begins with an exploration of Discord's robust API, which allows developers to create custom bots with diverse functionalities. These bots can be programmed to execute commands, manage user interactions, and even automate certain tasks within Discord servers.

Next, we discuss the advantages of leveraging Discord bots for C2 brokerage. Unlike traditional C2 infrastructures, Discord provides a convenient and inconspicuous communication channel, making it ideal for covert operations. Moreover, Discord's widespread adoption and ease of use ensure that setting up and managing these bots require minimal technical expertise.

Luckily, we would not need to build one from scratch since it is already integrated inside the Mythic C2 framework and the Athena agent.
