How to Create a Descriptive Transcript

388 3________

In a project, users can store multiple delivery types using Event Groups, making complex workflows much simpler. For instance, this project features an Audio Description Event Group and a Subtitle Event Group, and each Event Group can be exported separately as captions or audio descriptions. With Closed Caption Creator, merging Audio Description and Subtitle Event Groups is easy, resulting in Described Video Transcripts (DVTs). To merge Event Groups, open the Event Group menu to the right of the Event Group tab, then click the Merge option. After selecting the Event Groups to merge, click the Merge Group button and give your merged Event Group a name. The new Merged Event Group will appear in the Event Editor's navbar. Overlaps between Subtitle and Audio Description Events may occur, but they can be easily fixed by choosing the Fix Event Overlap option from the Format menu. To export your work, go to File, Export, and choose the Subtitle or Transcript option. You can select the WebVTT profile from the profile options and click Export, or choose to export a Microsoft Word or text document using the Transcript Exporter. By enabling users to work with subtitle and audio description data in the same project, Closed Caption Creator simplifies complex workflows and boosts productivity.
