One person is dead and 4 others are injured after an explosion near a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California officials said Saturday.

During a press conference, officials said they have a person of interest but are not actively searching for a suspect.

The name of the deceased has yet to be released "to protect the identity of the investigation," FBI Los Angeles assistant director Akil Davis told reporters.
