When 2 Step dancing, should you dance Chaînés turns, Pivot Turns, or Spiral Turns?

The answer may surprise you.

The answer is YES.

Unfortunately, in country dancing there are far too many "experts" with far too many opinions about what is "right or wrong,' or "correct," or "proper."

None of those things are real. There is NO right or wrong way to 2 Step dance. There is no ultimate "correct" or "proper" way to learn how to do Two Step turns.

There are, however, BETTER or WORSE ways to dance 2 step turns. The only thing that a confident, knowledgeable, and professional country dance instructor can do for you is explain what they teach and WHY they teach it that way. As in, what are the benefits to doing something a certain way?

If you're wanting to learn how to Two Step dance, THAT is what is important and the only thing that will provide long term growth as a country dancer.
