Simple DIY Hot Air Station Instructions At Home | DIY SOLDERING STATION
In this video I will show you how to make a simple soldering station at home with components that are easy to find online.
For the Dimmer circuit to control the temperature of the heating element, I replaced the normal B500K potentiometer with a potentiometer with a switch (B500K On/Off).
I used a 3V LED bulb + 330K resistor to connect in parallel to the output of the temperature control circuit. Similarly, I used another LED bulb as a 220V/AC power indicator, connected in parallel behind the main switch of the system.
I used a 3V LED bulb + 1K resistor and connected in parallel at the output of the fan speed control circuit.
I got the 12V/DC power from a used Adapter, this power supply consists of a 220V/AC to 12V/AC transformer and is rectified to DC at the output.
Note: You must turn on and start the air blower first, then start the heating head later, this is to avoid damaging the heating head. After use, you should turn off the heating head first and wait for a while for the heating head to cool down before turning off the air blower. If you have any other ideas to automate these safety steps, please leave a comment!
I am satisfied with this design because it is simple and helps me save the maximum manufacturing cost. It has worked quite well except for me when this is my first time using an SMD soldering station.
