Django is a framework for web development that is written in Python, whereas Laravel is written in PHP.
Laravel is ideal for the development of both simple and complex applications, whereas Django can be problematic on the development for smaller ones.
In terms of speed, Laravel doesn't compare with Django, as the last one is way better at this point.
Laravel comes with built-in support for API building that makes routing simple, whereas Django doesn't come with this built-in feature, and you'd have to use a library.
